Honoring the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Race is a 5K that was started by his family as a way to retrace Stephen’s last steps through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to Ground Zero, and to also raise money for the many charities that needed it. In 2002, the event’s first year, there were 1,500 runners. In 2013 there were over 25,000. And the 5K is now being held all over the world, from Brooklyn to Afghanistan and has raised millions for charity.
